Job Summary
Tessitura seeks a Vice President of Product with exceptional experience and a track record of innovation. Candidates should have demonstrated product leadership, showcasing creativity and product management methodology acumen. The Vice President of Product will lead the team that translates Tessitura's strategic vision into product strategy. The Vice President of Product has a unique opportunity to elevate our product development process while participating in our cloud-first transformation.

The Vice President of Product reports to the Chief Innovation Officer and manages Tessitura's Product team of eleven remote product management professionals. This team engages with our community, staff, and partners to deliver a unified CRM platform, transaction processing, and services that advance the business of arts and culture. 

This is a full-time work-from-home position with occasional travel required (6-8 trips per year, with some international travel). The compensation reflects a U.S. salary range based on current market data. The candidate's skills, experience, and other relevant factors will determine the final compensation. Candidates must reside in the United States. 

Vice President of Product Responsibilities:
  • Product Vision: Oversee the development of Tessitura's unified product roadmap and platform strategy, which includes CRM, transaction processing, access control, APIs, eCommerce, payment services, and business intelligence.
  • Strategic Leadership: Lead, manage, and mentor our remote Product team, synthesizing customer feedback, industry insights, and market research to develop a comprehensive product strategy.
  • Product Management Methodology: Scale our current processes and elevate our existing methodologies for user research, road mapping, prioritization, design, and analytics.
  • Excellent Communication: Communicate internally and externally with all levels of stakeholders regarding product direction, roadmap, releases, and broader product evolution.
  • User-Centric Approach: Ensure deep comprehension of user needs, behaviors, and pain points, by working directly with our members; balancing many interconnected variables using data and research.
  • Quality Delivery: Work closely with Engineering, Hosting, Member Services, and Security to ensure secure, quality software deliveries, aligning with product vision, company priorities, and customer needs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders, including Product Marketing, Business Development, Member Success, Professional Services, Learning, and external partners to ensure their needs are incorporated into our product management process.
  • Creativity and Innovation: Foster a psychologically safe environment encouraging experimentation and learning to facilitate innovation.
  • Leadership Team: Participate in Tessitura's 24-person Leadership team, supporting the company on key short- and long-term strategic planning.
Required Skills and Expertise:
  • 10+ years in software product management to product development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead software product development teams.
  • Expertise in creating and managing product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compellingly in writing, one-on-one conversations, and public speaking.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and adapt to a high volume of work in an agile environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to align multiple teams, build consensus, and resolve issues in line with business goals.
  • Expertise in product management software, methodology, and tools.
Preferred Skills and Expertise:
  • Product management experience in CRM and/or SaaS industry.
  • Experience in financial operations (FinOps) at a SaaS provider.
  • Experience managing a SaaS platform in Amazon Web Servies (AWS).
  • Digital payment platform experience.
  • Experience in performing arts, non-profit organizations, museums, or attractions is a plus.
